Congratulations New Troop 27 Boy Scouts!

posted Mar 8, 2015, 11:42 AM by Peter Hamilton
On March 7, 2015 Pack 27 held its annual Blue & Gold dinner to celebrate the founding of Scouting in America, present various awards our boys have earned to date, and bridge our Webelos 2 - 5th grade Cub Scouts to begin their path to Eagle Scout as new members of Troop 27.  On this evening we had the privilege to witness the bridging of 12 of Pack 27 Cub Scouts in this ceremony, and 10 of them also earned the Arrow of Light Award which is Cub Scouting's highest award.  We would like to congratulate:

Charlie Komar, Bailey LaGreca, Andrew Long, Colin Magner, Anthony Mouridy, Nikko Rocks, Jaiden Salej, Lucas Van Schoonhoven, Sebastian Simpson, Jonathan Sanowski (missing from photo), Garrett Van Blavcom-Deluis, and Brendan O’Shea.

Special thanks goes to Mr. Joe Komar who was the Den Leader for these boys for the last 5 years through their journey as Cub Scouts of Pack 27.  I am proud of all our boys for continuing their journey in scouting, and I have full confidence that they will develop into outstanding citizens and fine young leaders of the future.

A great night was had by all with the boys providing some dinner entertainment in the way of skits, and special guest Joe Mertens providing insight into Summer Camp Programs as well as the Friends of Scouting program.

If you would like to make a donation to the Friends of Scouting drive or would like further info on the summer camp programs available to Cub Scout and Boy Scouts in Pack 27 or Troop 27 please visit the below link.  Summer camp info will be in the columns on the right hand of the page.
